I think it might be beneficial to create a forum for server administration issues (ie for people that host their own site, or want to use .htaccess files on their host to modify the behavior of Apache). From what the poll at http://webmasterlingo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55 says, the number of people that may use the forum seems to be very high. Perhaps it could be added into the existing "Hosting Corner" section, or a new section could be created.

I think some additional forums would be nice as well. A "social lounge" is always cool. Ok, I'm an idiot... There already is one :banghead:
Perhaps a forum about network security would also be useful. What about a general networking forum as well? Just thoughts...

Perhaps a forum for Operating Systems, also?

is there a way to have a public forum on security issues without exposing one-self?
I do not think so,
as for the operating systems, I think WorldBuilder gave an excellent idea
perhaps in a way of server software or something like it

is there a way to have a public forum on security issues without exposing one-self? Sure there is. LQ has an awesome security thread. It can be done if the user base of the forum is of good quality. This, of course, is controlled by mods. :D
You don't necessarily expose yourself by asking questions, but I can understand why you might have to be more careful about your posts. Let the users decide. Make the forum and see what happens!
