I've had a few domains for a while that are worth something, but am having trouble finding a place to sell it. Does anyone know a good place where I can put it up for auction or something?

If you think you have some really good domains, you might want to consider seeking out end user. However domains of decent value can also be sold at domain name forums. Here are a few:
DNForum.com
DomainState.com
NamePros.com
WebHostingTalk.com
Good luck! :)

programmingtalk.com - i've got a hold of a couple clients through that forum...and i'm sure you can advertise your domains for sale there with response..

Why not? They also tell you how much interest is in your domain by the # and amount of what people are bidding.

Sometimes auctions aren't a bad idea. If there's demand for the domain your selling, you could get make a good sale that way.

WebHostingTalk.com - From my experience, many great designs go for cheap there...people say that the users are cheap there...sometimes it seems that way, but have a go at it.
eBay.com - Auction it off!
NamePros.com - Great domain site!
Sedo.com - Just visit and check it out ;).

From my experience, Dnforum.com is one of the better places to sell. There aren't that many domain sales at WHT as you can tell by the number of 0 reply posts. If you want to empty out your portfolio of "cheap" domains, you can auction and sell them off at NamePros. However, it is very rare to see anyone buy $75+ domains at Namepros. Dnforum.com has a ton of heavy buyers, so try that.

I believe DNThrify.com does domain name auctions as well. They are part of the iNet Interactive family.

Yeah, they're the official WHT domain auction site, I think. I would personally just put something up for auction at Dnforum.com though.

I have never used eBay either, so I wouldn't know. However I do know that the domain whatsmyip.com was sold on eBay just recently for about $430,000; which isn't bad. :)

Someone should be really happy about that purchase. :)
