Hi guys,

I am taking a Flash class. It's just an intro course, and I have a book. It's ISBN# 0-619-01766-X, Macromedia Flash MX. It seems like a good intro book, but I'm progressing ahead of the class and wish to start moving ahead on my own just a bit. Anyone have recommendations for a GOOD Flash book for intermediary to expert level learning?

I personally like the visual quickstart guides by peachpit press because they tell you and show u how to do it and what it does straight up without reading pages of useless information.

Rev,

Yeah, I think I'll get that one. It looks great and gets RAVE reviews from everyone. Marshall, I like the visual guides, too, but they generally aren't advanced enough. That's the only thing I don't like.

This book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/059600396X/qid=1087193432/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/102-7893092-2934511?v=glance&s=books) is also extremely good and should be on every flash developer's lbookshelf. It assumes a more intermediate/advanced skill level with Flash, though.

I just used trial and error to experiment with it. I think I'll check out those books. I'm kinda in a tough spot and I'm not advancing in my knowlege of the program.

I ended up buying this book, and to answer my own question, yes it's as good as it seemed.
