Worked for me, for now maximum size is 50x50 px

Perhaps it's working for you because of admin privileges? The only option I get when I try to get an avatar is "Do not use an avatar" with a radio button. Only choice.

No, i see it now, but I can't figure out why it's not allowing moderators and normal users to create a custom avatar.
Will work on it some more later.
