Question Good program to resize and downgrade mass amounts of images for posting?

Im looking for a good program to use that I can select multiple images from different folders and the program will resize them and down grade them and save them back to the original locations/filenames. I have found some but they wont overwrite the originals

If you use Photoshop, you can set up a batch run to do this.

If you are looking for a web based gallery which allows the client to resize the image while browsing the gallery then take a look at yappa-ng http://www.zirkon.at/zirkon/scripts...g_main_eng.html
