    firebird renamed (again)

    http://www.mozilla.org/press/mozilla-2004-02-09.html

mozilla's firebird browser has gone through a serious over-haul, and is now called firefox. i think the name-change is just a cheesy advertising ploy, but i do like the new icon
thats right, I am the webmaster.

    New icon looks awesome.

Wasn't it called Phoenix before or am I thinking wrong?

It started off as Phoenix; changed its name to Firebird; now it's FireFox.

Its a good browser none-the-less. So just let them have their fun playing the name game.

Firefox is my favourite browser. I especially like that tabbed browsing. It also seems a lot more faster for my connection. I only really bother to use IE for testing, or when I go to sites which are for IE only (that Windows Update site for a start )

I like FireFox, the pages load very fast and I like the tabbed browsing and customizable themes it offers. Fire Fox sounds better than the other names it had first.
