My sister uses yahoo mail, and she said that it was very buggy, at first at least. I think Gmail will be released very soon, there still isn't a date announced, is there?

On the other hand, the Gmail GUI is actually fairly nice.

I would stick to Gmail. It loads really fast, and has much more space. The interface is also good and easy to use.

I heard today that Hotmail will now be offering a 250MB mail account.

    More spam!

When you think about it, how many people are going to fill up 100 MB of webmail anyway? Or 250 MB? Or 1000 MB!? Choose one of these services based on how well you like the functionality, not just bragging rights of size. It's great to brag about that, but it's not the important issue.

Yep, exactly, that's how hosting companies make money at competitive prices, they oversell (count on the fact that the customer will not use 100% of the ordered resources).

I bet twenty years ago people were wondering who on earth would ever use 10k of space...

    Now 10k is nothing...NOTHING.

Remember - the president of IBM back in the day said that there may be a potential market for maybe all of five computers.

And Bill Gates said that no one should ever need more than 640k of RAM.

So don't say you don't need 1GB of email space because some day you just might

Yahoo! gives 100Mb, Google gives 1Gb, and Hotmail gives 250Mb. All free.

But I still only get 100Mb from Yahoo! and I have paid Yahoo! That's flippin' gay.

yeah competition is great for us end-users.

I have gmail and absolutely love it! I love the way your emails look more like a conversation.

I like the new Yahoo! except I've got paid and still only get 100Mb... but I like Gmail better than both Hotmail and Yahoo! heh.
