    BG Image

    I'm sure this is an easy code, but I'm a flash guy. . . Okay, so for HTML, how do you make the background an image rather than a color?

    background="image.jpg" in the body tag, or you can use CSS.

    If you want to use CSS the code is a little different:
    Code:
    background-image: url("image.jpg");
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    The "no-repeat;" keeps the image from repeating. You can repeat it if you like with"repeat-x" or "repeat-y" or several other options.

    There's also a lot more background tags in CSS. It's definitely the better way to do it.

    I have a neat little book for quick HTML codes. And, yes, It's one of those "Dummies" books. It's "HTML For Dummies Quick Reference." It's not a big bulky book and is really handy to have around.

    I have the regular HTML For Dummies. . . It's not a quick reference so it's hard to find things.

    jUST add
    Code:
    background="image.jpg"
    indide the TD. Unfortunately, I don't know if it will repeat in the cell. I haven't done it in a long time. Try it and see. If it repeats, post back and I'll figure it out.

    Ok, from what I've read and seen, there is NO WAY to keep an image from repeating unless you use CSS... If I'm wrong, someone correct me, but I think that's right. Sorry to bear the news. Just use CSS. I'll help if you need the code.

    You can't.. well, you sorta can.

    You CAN place the CSS stuff inside the body tag and whatnot and you can do just the same with the background as you can using a body {wakjaweoja} with CSS. lol

    www.davesite.com has a good tutorial for this.

    You need to use CSS if you want to have a non-repeating background.

    It's the only way to do it.

    Code:
    <body background="graphic.jpg" text="#FFFFFF" bgcolor="#000000" style="background-repeat: no-repeat;">
    Try something like that.

    It's CSS, but like I said, it's in the body tag.
