    php parse date

    Anyone knows how to convert date from format:

    "Thu, 9 Dec 2004 00:01:00 -0500"


    to timestamp so I can reformat it and display later the way I want it ?

    strtotime()

    wow, I guess it's really late and I can't think straight. It's exactly the same as in C
