    How do I center page W/a background?

    Hello,

    Great site, lots of information.

    I made a template in PSD, sliced it all up and did the "save optimized as" with the HTML and images output to a folder. I read somewhere online, on how to center the web page. I entered the code into the html doc using Dream weaver and all worked fine, but

    The problem/question I have:

    I hate looking at the plain white boring background, with my page in the center. I have seen other site's with a centered page, but they have a design/textured background.

    What coding would I enter in, and where on the page would I input this code? Please if someone can lend a helping hand, many thanks would be said.

    Thanks for taking the time to read this, and look forward to hearing from someone soon.

    Mike

    You can simple do this:

    HTML Code:
     <body  BGCOLOR=#FFFFFF LEFTMARGIN=0 TOPMARGIN=0 MARGINWIDTH=0 MARGINHEIGHT=0 style="color:000000" background="image.gif">
     <center><!-- your page goes here --></center>
     </body>

    thanks for taking time to answer, but I want to know how to add a graphic background, while using a already center web page.

    meaning my page is center with a white boring background, but would like to add a graphic instead of color. how do I? and where do I put this code?

    Thanks

    As I wrote above, look close at the end of the body tag:

    <body ......... background="image.gif">
